Carols by Candlelight on the river
On Friday night, the Dimboola Town Committee will be hosting Carols By Candlelight at the soundshell on the Dimboola Recreation Reserve.
Event organiser Amanda Ingeme has worked hard to put a program together with some special acts for the event.
The whole community can come along and enjoy the Town Committee barbeque and ice-cream and fruit salad prepared by the Dimboola Country Women Association.
The evening starts at 5.30 pm with lots of entertainment for the kids, while everyone can enjoy tea amongst the gum trees.
The Nhill/Dimboola Brass Band will delight the crowds with Shristmas carols and a good selection of music.
‘Gypsum Road’ will be the first act on the stage followed the the delight of the Kinder Kids from the Dimboola Kindergarten.
There will be a special treat with the ‘Voices of The Wimmera’ coming to Dimboola to perform which always delight their audience.
Not to be missed will be Sharon Cook, Anne Falkinham, Des Lardner, Carly Werner, Becky Barry and her girls will be there to entertain. What will Des Lardner be dressed as this year will be anyone's guess?
The students at the Lutheran School have been working hard for their performance of song and laughter that will delight everyone.
Carley Werner will again entertain before the Dimboola Primary School put on their performance.
Dance Now, Dimboola dancers will be on stage with their dance routine prior to the Dimboola Guides act.
Becky Barry will be the last performer before the highlight of the night is expected to arrive. The rumors have been confirmed that Santa will be attending with treats for all the children.
It is predicted that the evening will be warm and a fair chance of a total fire ban day. In the event of a Total Fire Ban it is planned that the barbeque will cooked in the Dimboola Rowing Shed.
