Popular Horsham ABC radio presenter  Dave Lennon will be opening the Dimboola 135th  Agricultural and Pastoral show.

Dimboola A & P Secretary Jan John said, “its is exciting to have Dave Lennon to open the show. He is quite popular among Dimboola residents and we are sure he will attract a good crowd.”

Mr Lennon has over 25 years experience with ABC radio Horsham and covers local issues on his breakfast show.

What you may not know is that Dave likes chocolate cake. So much so that he will be judging the ‘men only chocolate cake’ entries to the show.   Sounds like it time to put those aprons on fella’s and cook up some chocolate cakes. The rules are simple, you can use your favourite recipe or just grab a packet cake from the local supermarket.

Organiser of the show are planning some great things at this years show, including a scarecrow competition.

Ms John said, “the show is promising to be really good this year with all of the usual competitions and some new attractions such as the Scarecrow competition for the kids.”

“Shayne Hogan from the Club Hotel in Kaniva is sponsoring the scarecrow competition and we hope to have some excellent entries,” she said.

There are two sections in the scarecrow competition. Children under 10 and children under 16, who can now start making their scarecrow in time for the show.
