Emma wins round 10 Blue Ribbon Foundation Spirit of Netball
Dimboola 17 and under netballer Emma Griffith has been announced as the Round 10 winner of the Wimmera League / Blue Ribbon Foundation Spirit of Netball award recipient. Dimboola policemen and Acting Sergeant Neil Zippel presented Emma with her award at the netball game against Stawell at the Recreation Reserve Saturday week ago.
“Emma has been an absolute delight for her coaches to work with this season. She is a positive role model and leader for all of the Dimboola 17 and under girls, as evidenced when they elected her as captain for 2017,” Acting Sergeant Zippel said.
“Emma is a focused player and knows what she has to do to shut down the opposition's attack when on court. ?Emma gives 100 percent at all times, whether at training or on game day.”
“Ever smiling Emma's favourite position is as Goalkeeper, and you can see this as she takes intercept after intercept in the last line of defence. She is a clean, versatile and determined player. She is courageous and also accepts defeat well and often can be heard giving a giggle and smiling on court,” he said.
The Dimboola Football Netball Club is extremely proud of Emma in all aspects of her netball and congratulates her on this achievement.
