An absolutely fab night will be on for the Antwerp Hall Annual Dinner. The theme for the dinner will be ‘Fashion Through The Ages’  This is a night to get out those old platform shoes and flared pants, slick back the hair and try out your Elvis impersonations.

All the fun will start at the Antwerp Hall at 7.00pm Saturday April 16. For a measly $30.00 for a three course meal you would not bother about the hamburgers and chips on that night.

What will not-to-be-missed is the fashion parade with top models parading their 50’ to 80’s fashion.

Organisers say, “you cannot have a 50’s to 80’s night without your favourites from the era beating some sounds in the background.  Get on the phone and book your tickets with Ann and Jo before April 10 to insure securing a great night out at Antwerp.

The Antwerp Hall committee took over management of the hall in 2008 and work hard to provide many activities in the hall.  The hall has hosted two performances of the play Dimboola, hosting table tennis nights, a pre-harvest barbeque, historical days, New Year Eve parties and an annual bus trip. However the chief money raiser for the committee is the annual dinner.

Themes over the years have been, Antwerp’s Got Talent, Dancing with the Stars and the colour purple.  This years theme of fashion through the ages should be a very exciting night for the committee and rebelers.

All money raised from the committee events have been used to improve the hall facilities including a new kitchen, a new toilet block and painting both inside and the front facade. Funds raised this year will go towards landscaping next to the tennis courts and the recreation ground that were damaged in the 2011 floods.
The Antwerp Hall Committee is very active and has almost 100 families who receive the hall newsletter.  The committee is determined to keep the hall as a focal point of its small community.
