Based on two very successful past events and held to coincide with the 90th anniversary of the club’s formation in April 1934, the Warracknabeal Rotary Club is tomorrow evening hosting a Paddock to Plate Dinner in a local Shearing Shed, showcasing the excellence of local produce, fine gourmet food from chef Cat Clarke, select wines and beverages, and promoting country hospitality.

Profits for the evening go to support the club’s Country Education Foundation Scholarship program which in 2024 is assisting eight local young students in their career studies.

Highlighting the diversity of the evening’s entertainment are two shearing demonstrations: one by young 12 year old shearing sensation Charlie Dunn from Walla Walla NSW who recently shore 130 sheep in a day and a second by one of Australia’s most highly regarded established shearer’s Josh Bone and a performance by The Maestro Trio: Cello maestro Janis Laurs joined by violinist Shirin Lim and violist Martin Butler.

Warracknabeal Rotary Club president John Tonkin remarked “This is a signature event for us in our ninetieth year, we have more than 140 people attending what will be a memorable evening, showcasing the unique excellence of our local produce and agriculture and a lineup of outstanding entertainment.”
